Q1 : Why is the color black?
Charcoal-grilled chicken, which has been popular in Kagoshima, Miyazaki, and other areas of southern Kyushu for a long time, is characterized by its black appearance.
It is NOT charred or overcooked. It is purposedly grilled and smoked over a charcoal fire to give it a black color, and a charcoal aroma.
First time eaters may be a little surprised, but once you try it, you'll be hooked by the deliciousness of the chicken and the charcoal flavor.
Q2 : What kind of chicken do you use?
The chickens used in the making this product are not broiler (young) chickens, but we use the layer (old) chicken.
Eventhough we use the layer chicken, but because we use retort process, the meat become tender and easy to eat while retaining the proper texture.
Q3 : What about halal certification?
We got halal certification from the local body called MHC : Malaysia Halal Corporation.

Eat as it is
No need to cook. Just just eat as it is. Or you may want to warm it, to make even more tasty.
Mix with rice
Try to mix it with hot rice, to make charcoal-grilled rice balls.
For fried rice ingredients.

Q１ なぜ色が黒いのですか？
鹿児島、宮崎をはじめとする南九州で古くから親しまれている鶏の炭火焼は真っ黒な見た目が特徴的です。
これは決して焦げているわけでも、黒く着色しているわけでもなく、炭火で焼き上げ、燻すことで黒い色と炭の香りをつけたものです。
はじめて食べる方は少しびっくりされるかもしれませんが、一度食べるとその鶏肉の旨味と炭の香りの相性の良さでクセになること間違いなしの美味しさです。
Q２ どんな鶏肉を使っていますか？
ハラル炭火焼に使用している鶏は若鶏ではなく親鶏になります。
親鶏は肉の弾力があるのが特徴のため固いイメージがあるかもしれませんが、レトルト処理しているため、適度な食感を残しつつもやわらかく食べやすくなっています。
